The programme/By Jenson Bradbury/Ages 14–18

Your child builds a real business.

Each student builds their own business around something they love, and I check the work every week. The first cohort starts the week of 4 January 2027.

Ages
14–18
Length
4, 6 or 8 weeks, by tier
Sessions
Two one-hour live sessions a week
First cohort
Week of 4 January 2027

The problem

What school leaves out.

School covers exams. It leaves out pricing, selling, cash flow and the AI tools businesses now run on.

A teenager with the instinct to build has nowhere to practise it properly. Most wait until after university, or try alone with nobody checking the work.

The programme gives that instinct a structure: one real business, a fixed number of weeks, and a result your child can show you at the end.

How it works

The project comes first.

Every tier starts its project in week one, and I teach each skill when the project needs it. Your child joins at the tier that matches their experience.

Tier 1/4 weeks

Live

An idea becomes a business that is out selling.

Needs: an idea.

Tier 2/6 weeks

Running

The business gets customers and runs on a system.

Needs: a product and an offer.

Tier 3/8 weeks

Growing

The student sets a growth target and reports against it.

Needs: a business that already has customers.

Tier 1, week by week

  1. Before week 1/Prep

The student picks three things they love, works out how each could make money, and chooses one. I check the idea in a short 1:1: it has to be able to make a first sale within four weeks, cost little to start, and be legal to run under 18.

  2. Week 1/Sharpen

The customer, the problem and a one-line offer. AI for research. Five conversations with potential customers.

  3. Week 2/Build the product

Version one of the product, built with AI. Then the price, the costs and the profit on each sale.

  4. Week 3/Build the page

A live page for the business, the message on it, and the first content.

  5. Week 4/Get out there

Sales and outreach: 20 real attempts to reach customers. A showcase, with parents welcome, and a plan for the next 30 days.

Tiers 2 and 3 follow the same pattern over six and eight weeks. The full plan for each is in the course overview I send after the call.

In every tier

  • A check-in with me every week
  • 3–4 hours a week, including the live sessions
  • A showcase at the end, with parents welcome
  • Tier 3 adds a weekly 30-minute 1:1 and guest founders from my network

What I teach

Five subjects school leaves out.

Each tier takes all five further. The order below is the order your child meets them in.

Offer

A one-line offer first. Then pricing, packaging, upsells and recurring income.

Selling

Outreach, closing a sale, then partnerships and negotiating terms.

Marketing

A page and first content, a weekly content engine, then paid advertising.

Money

Profit per sale, cash flow, then customer value against cost per customer.

AI

Research and drafting, assistants that draft for approval, then linked workflows.

Who it's for

For teenagers who want to build.

The programme is for students aged 14–18 who already want to make something of their own. Some arrive with an idea. Some already have customers.

The student has to want it. You can book the call and make the decision, but the work is theirs, and a teenager who has been signed up against their will won't do it.

Bring your child to the call. I'd rather hear the idea from them.

What parents can check

  • My father, Dan Bradbury, is the supervising adult on the programme
  • You can be copied into any communication with your child
  • You can read anything I share with them
  • You and your child both sign a course agreement before the start
  • Nothing of your child's is shown publicly without signed consent from you both

Dates and fees

The first cohort starts in January.

First cohort
Week of 4 January 2027
Commitment
3–4 hours a week, including two one-hour live sessions
Fees
Confirmed for your child's tier on the call, before you commit

The steps are the same for every family: a call with me, the course overview in writing, then a course agreement signed by you and your child. A place is confirmed once the agreement is signed.

About Jenson

I'm following the same route.

Jenson Bradbury outdoors in a grey jacket, looking to one side

I grew up around business and was always drawn to it. I'm documenting my own route in, and helping others follow it.

I've worked inside an accountancy firm and a marketing agency, built and pitched websites for local businesses, and taken a small group of students through a four-week course on starting a business. I use AI in all of it.

I teach what I've used myself, and I'm close enough in age to my students to know what they're up against.

Questions

What parents ask.

Does my child need a business idea first?

Tier 1 needs an idea, and I help find it. Before week one, each student picks three things they love, works out how each could make money, and chooses one. I go through it with them in a short 1:1 before the course starts.

How much time does it take each week?

Three to four hours, including the two one-hour live sessions. The sessions are short so they fit around school and homework.

Does this replace school?

No. It runs alongside school. School covers exams, and the programme covers the business skills school leaves out.

Which tier should my child join?

Tier 1 needs an idea. Tier 2 needs a product and an offer. Tier 3 needs a business that already has customers. I confirm the tier on the call, once I've heard where your child is.

Who supervises the sessions and the 1:1s?

My father, Dan Bradbury, is the supervising adult on the programme. You can ask to be copied into any communication with your child, and to see anything I share with them.

My child is under 18. How do they take payments?

Most payment and selling platforms require an account holder aged 18 or over. A parent sets up those accounts before the course starts. I explain what is needed on the call.

Will my child appear in your videos or posts?

Only with signed consent from you and from your child, given for each item. Without it, nothing of theirs is shown.

What results have past students had?

There are no published results yet. January 2027 is the first full cohort. Before it, I took a small group through a shorter four-week course. I will publish results from the cohort once they are real and recorded.

What does it cost?

Each tier has its own fee. I confirm the fee for your child's tier on the call and in the course overview, before you commit to anything.

Something else to ask? Write to me.

Next step

Book a call.

The call decides whether the programme fits and which tier your child joins. Bring them with you.
